Overview : Polyurethane foam is the most common type of foam used in cases. The foam is soft enough to provide flexibility for items, but also dense enough to provide cushion for even the heaviest of items. Technical : Polyurethane is open cell which means air and water can flow freely throughout the foam. The material weighs about 1.2 - 1.3 lbs per cubic foot. Perfect Fit

The convoluted Cobra Foam was a perfect fit for my new Plano PLA11842 rifle case. I did not want to use the pre-perforated pluck foam that came with the case until I decide what extra stuff I want to carry in the case. So I ordered a piece of the convoluted Cobra Foam to replace the pluck foam. My bolt-action Ruger .22lr rifle rests quite nicely between the two layers of convoluted foam. Couldn't be happier.
