Overview:  Polyurethane foam is the most common type of foam used in cases. The foam is soft enough to provide flexibility for items, but also dense enough to provide cushion for even the heaviest of items. Technical:  Polyurethane is open cell which means air and water can flow freely throughout the foam. The material weighs about 1.2 - 1.3 lbs per cubic foot. We can also custom cut your foam for an additional nominal fee.

Excellent Job by Cobra Foam Inserts

My project involved cutting on two layers of foam for a Pelican V730 case. I created the design I wanted in Photoshop and then converted the images to a vector-based files which I sent to Cobra. More than once, after submitting my design, I contacted them with updates to that design which they accepted. The finished product is awesome. There are 14 individual shapes cut from the top layer and 7 shapes cut from the bottom layer. I would recommend Cobra to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship for their foam inserts.

Foam is perfect. Fits well. Works well. No complaints.

I initially ordered the wrong foam (thought I had the 700 case). Got in touch with cobra and let them know I made a mistake. They promptly cancelled the wrong order and ensured I had an order placed for the right foam.
