Overview:  Polyurethane foam is the most common type of foam used in cases. The foam is soft enough to provide flexibility for items, but also dense enough to provide cushion for even the heaviest of items. Technical:  Polyurethane is open cell which means air and water can flow freely throughout the foam. The material weighs about 1.2 - 1.3 lbs per cubic foot. We can also custom cut your foam for an additional nominal fee.

Pelican V770 Replacement Foam

Great product! Will require a small amount of width trimming in order for the case to close properly. Higher quality than original foam included with the case at purchase.

High quality foam, too tight for case without trimming.

This foam is far better quality than the stock foam in my case (Vault by Pelican V770). I purchased both a set of PU and PE to form cut to fit different guns in the same case, and to see which foam is better. Both are high quality, but I strongly recommend purchasing the PE if you are custom cutting to fit a particular gun (it cuts far cleaner and easier and is much more supportive). The only gripe I had is that I had to shave nearly 3/8" off the entire back edge of the foam before I could shut and latch the lid without forcing it closed (it was a little too wide), and the corner cuts were not exact. Overall I am very pleased and would purchase this foam again.

All around great buy... The customer service, the delivery, the packaging, the product, I'll say it was a better cut out of foam than what originally came in the case. And the price was the best I found around as well

They fit was just a little off.

Although the foam fit in the open case without any issue, when I went to close the list for the first time (before cutting anything) I had to adjust the way the lid sat down before I could close the latches. After I cut the foam and put everything inside I had the same issue. It's not that big of deal and the price was right, but this didn't happen with the original foam. The lenth is perfect, the depth is perfect it could probably have been cut 1/4 to 1/2" less in the width.
