Overview: Polyurethane foam is the most common type of foam used in cases. The foam is soft enough to provide flexibility for items, but also dense enough to provide cushion for even the heaviest of items.
Technical: Polyurethane is open cell which means air and water can flow freely throughout the foam. The material weighs about 1.2 - 1.3 lbs per cubic foot.

My Cobra Foam

I was originally looking for some Pick & Pluck foam thinking it was the easiest way to get a custom fit on some cases I wanted to replace the foam in. After shopping extensively on E-bay and finding out how PRICEY Pick & Pluck foam is, I searched the Web & found Cobra Foam. This solid ( non pluck ) foam was MUCH more wallet friendly so I ordered from a stock package they have & for a small fee they custom cut it to the sizes I specified. This Foam IS GREAT !! It's Firm ; with cushion enough to hold and protect items with out being too soft and mushy as was the foam in the original cases.
To my pleasant surprise this foam is Way Better than the Pick & Pluck. It cuts easily and give a Much better fit than
the Pluck foam & it does not come apart as Pluck foam does when repeatedly taking item in and out of the case.
Cobra Foam - cuts easily, holds its shape, stays firm, was the best $$ priced foam I found in my search. The
salesman was polite, helpful and accommodating with my purchase. So if I ever need more foam, I don't have to search the Web over. I'll be going straight to Cobra.
